Think you've got some of the best-tasting chili in Alamance County? Find out at the Times-News 26th annual Chili Cook Off. Just bring a crock pot full of your best chili to Holly Hill Mall to be judged by local chili experts. The champion and runner-up will receive cash prizes ($100 champion & $75 runner up) and a chili cookoff apron. Pre-registration required by Jan. 24. The cook off will be limited to the first 30 people who preregister.
NEW THIS YEAR: People’s Choice Award! Come out and vote for your favorite chili! The tasting will begin as soon as the judges have completed their scoring. Each vote is a minimum $1 (bills only) donation to Allied Churches. The contestant who receives the most donations wins $50 and a chili cook off apron.
